Experience Instrumental Music

Between her involvement in the Butler band, Campus Crusade for Christ and as a Resident Assistant, Susan Ault said the leadership experience she gained has been invaluable. The saxophonist from Kingman is now on her way to Tabor College to major in music education and music ministry.

"I think Butler has the best instrumental music department in Kansas," Susan said. "I got to learn a little bit about everything."
Between the lessons she learned from her regular instructors and the resident guest artists who often dropped by to share their knowledge, Susan said coming to Butler was "the best decision I could have made. I wouldn't trade it for anything."

Susan said she made many friendships she expects to have for life. Even her instructors took a personal interest in her.
"A year ago, my father passed away," Susan said. "Ron Garber, Joel Knudsen and Roger Lewis all sent cards and attended the funeral. My instructors all took the time to care."
